Targeting Education Information - IPSC Match

We have been selected as one of 3 qualifier matches for selecting the USPSA team shooters who will represent the US at the IPSC World Shoot XV in 2008. Please register early to be a part of our match. We are anticipating the match filling early; we can only accommodate 150 participants in the IPSC match.

Stages and Round Count - IPSC Match

We will have 18 stages, 9 Thursday and 9 Friday. Everyone shoots both days. We will follow the current IPSC guidelines for the Level 3 stage mix: three short courses and two medium courses for every long course. We anticipate the match will require 300 rounds minimum.

Shooting dates and times - IPSC Match

Shooters may choose either Thursday May 17 at 8:00 AM and Friday May 18 at 1:00 PM or Thursday May 17 at 1:00 PM and Friday May 18 at 8:00 AM. The match will be shot in a half day format Thursday and Friday. A shooters meeting will be a half an hour prior to the start time Thursday

Prize Policy - IPSC Match

Targeting Education is a fundraising match for to provide scholarships for deserving students at Agnus Dei Academy. Therefore, this match will award IPSC medals and plaques only. The awards will follow the Level 3 match recommendations for divisions and category awards. High Overall, High Lady, High Junior, High Senior, and High Super Senior medals will be awarded for Open, Standard, Modified, Production, and Revolver if the minimum number of competitor level is met. There must be at least 10 in a division for High Overall medal recognition, and at least 5 in any category for medal recognition. In addition the match will recognize class placement with plaques.

Note that these are for IPSC classifications, NOT the shooter’s USPSA classification.

1st in class M-D for All 5 Divisions (must be at least 5 in class)
2nd in class M-D for All 5 Divisions (must be at least 10 in class)
3rd in class M-D for All 5 Divisions (must be at least 15 in class)

The Awards banquet will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, May 18. The banquet is free for staff and paid competitors in the IPSC Qualifier match. Guest tickets may be purchased for $25 per person. Please contact Linda Chico at LChico@msn.com by April 20, 2006 to order additional banquet tickets.

We are hosting a Level 3 USPSA match on Saturday and Sunday. Please register early to be a part of this match. We can only accommodate 200 participants in the USPSA match.

We will have 9 stages. Everyone shoots the entire match in half a day. We will follow the current USPSA guidelines for a Level 3 competition. We anticipate the match will require 200 rounds minimum.

Shooters may choose either Saturday May 19 at 8:00 AM, Saturday May 19 at 1:00 PM, Sunday May 20 at 8:00 AM, or Sunday May 20 at 1:00 PM. The match will be shot in a half day format. A shooters meeting will be a half an hour prior to your start time.

Donated Prizes

Some of the donated prizes will be available for shooters to win by purchasing raffle tickets, so that added funds can be donated to the charity. The remaining donated prizes will go into a drawing for match staff.

Food Items

Food and drinks will be for sale on the range. The food will be prepared and sold by a local organization. Lunch will be available daily.

Test Firing

Do to time constraints of the match, no test firing will be allowed prior to, during or after the match.
